Come join Grab ACE team, we're dedicated to building the most trusted and loved platform for all things food in Southeast Asia. You will be reporting to Senior Software Engineering Manager. We are empowered by creating amazing services and tools that serve hundreds of millions of consumers, driving partners, and fellow grabbers. We are always aiming to improve our delivery and dine in platforms, which requires the help of first-class engineers. Our scale of production is huge, handling tens of millions of bookings every day. When you launch a new code, hundreds of millions of people will see what you are doing in a very short time.
This is a hybrid role and the office is based in Petaling Jaya.
The Day-to-Day Activities
As an engineer, you are expected to work on both product development as well as engineering improvements.
- You will work with the product and design team to understand requirements, provide product feedback, own and implement the product from start to finish.
- You will write code that is reusable, scalable and testable. Make sure products are delivered on time and with high quality.
- You will collaborate with QAs to make sure our app releases are always worthy of five star ratings.
- You will review code from other team members, provide constructive feedback and try to raise the engineering bar.
- You will improve the codebase. Propose and set better engineering solutions for the team.
- You will be responsible and responsive during on-call duty. Debug and troubleshoot production issues.
- You will provide technical guidance, mentorship and knowledge sharing to peers.
Qualifications
The Must-Haves
- You need to have solid software engineering and coding skills. Specifically, we're looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience in a backend language like Go, PHP or any backend programming language.
- You have Knowledge of OOP principles and best practice in Golang programming
- You have good communication with the product owner, designer, and partners
- You have experience with AWS ecosystem
- You have knowledge of performing unit testing and make use of Git
- You have reliable knowledge of design patterns, Database
