Get to know the team

The Group Marketplace team manages Grab’s marketplaces across Southeast Asia. The team works with stakeholders across multiple business functions in Grab to drive continuous business improvements via marketplace levers such as pricing, incentives and allocation. The team is also responsible to generate business insights and propose data-driven strategic initiatives to grow the business across both transport and deliveries.

Get to know the role

This role will require the candidate to use data-driven insights to create a sustainable, reliable and efficient marketplace for Grab’s transport business in Thailand. The role requires (a) familiarity with large datasets and a knack for piecing together data to form insights and (b) ability to work with many different teams including Product and Country Operations.

The Day-to-Day Activities

  • Lead projects involving cross-functional teams to improve metrics on all sides of the marketplace

  • Propose new experiments and own end-to-end experimentation process including experiment design, rollout and analysis of results

  • Monitor day-to-day marketplace metrics, investigate short-term anomalies and troubleshoot with the product team as needed

  • Develop day-to-day tactical solutions and longer-term strategic initiatives to improve marketplace dynamics

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of working experience in a related field

  • Excellent analytical abilities, including advanced Excel/Google sheets skills. You will need to be comfortable with drawing insights from complex, large data sets. SQL proficiency is a plus

  • Strong communication and project management skills, including ability to present insights in a thoughtful manner

  • End-to-end problem-solving. Ability to take complex problems and break them down into actionable solutions, backed by data insights

  • Strong sense of curiosity in seeking impactful opportunities and learning about our economics

  • Ability to balance detail with quick execution
