We are a team of product designers with focus on revolutionising the dining experience for our eaters and building relationship between them and businesses across Southeast Asia. For merchants, we aim to leverage innovative technologies to empower and enable them to thrive in this competitive landscape. That said, we roll up to a larger design family of content designers, UX engineers, and Design Ops. About 150 people in total!

As a Senior Product Designer on the Omnicommerce team, you will own Product Design
outcomes, practice and quality for a cross-functional Problem Space Team in Dine In and Loyalty experiences for the Grab consumer super app and enterprise/merchant facing interfaces, with influenceon adjacent teams. You will work in a highly collaborative fashion, exploring the needs of our users and creating impactful solutions for the business.

We’re looking for exceptional designers who are excited by the opportunity to have a major impact on how millions of people across Southeast Asia interact with Grab.

The Day-to-Day Activities

  • Own Product Design outcomes in a problem space team, effectively leading multiple projects and engaging in problem-solving with the team and their stakeholders; with growing influence on adjacent teams.
  • Ensure we design the right experiences - aligning stakeholders to achieve balanced business-driving user-centeredness.
  • Effectively explain rationales, insights, processes and standards in a compelling and engaging manner to stakeholders.
  • Own team discovery discussions, workshops and problem exploration activities, facilitating collaboration and idea generation within the team.
  • Own solution discovery and delivery in your problem space team.
  • Apply design-thinking frameworks and user-centered principles to guide the team in exploring the problem space.
  • Design impactful new product experiences and features; creating end-to-end flows for complex user experiences with little oversight.
  • Demonstrate consistent, engaging, impactful interaction design by the application of human factors and HCI to complex problems.
  • Contribute to the design system by owning and documenting new components and/or enhancements to existing components.
  • Leverage prototyping to ensure delivery of seamless and delightful experiences.

Qualifications

The Must-Haves

  • Provide a portfolio of your recent design work in English, showcasing your contribution and the impact of your projects. We recommend you provide clear context, outline your end-to-end workflow, and demonstrate how you go from problem discovery to launch.

  • 4+ years of Product Design experience.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience working on cross-functional product teams.

  • Solid fundamentals in interaction and visual design craft and practice.

  • Solid knowledge of mobile and front-end web standards and development.

  • Experience with Figma, Protopie, After Effects, or other design tooling.

The Nice-To-Haves

  • Experience in Service Design, User Research, Front-end Development, Accessible Design, or Design Systems are all a plus.
  • Experience designing consumer-facing digital products, especially F&B-related, is a plus.
