Get to know the Role

The Regional Operational Risk team is responsible for setting up the Operational Risk Management Framework, steering the relevant policies and procedures, overseeing implementation of the framework across the region, and working closely with the country teams in shaping technological and risk methodology improvements for all the markets. 

We are looking for a Regional Op Risk Manager who will be responsible for implementing the Operational Risk Management Framework and coordinating various Operational Risk Management activities across multiple business verticals under GrabFin.

The Day-to-Day Activities

• Drive the implementation of the Regional Operational Risk Framework along with Enterprise Risk Management Framework across multiple business verticals in all local markets;

• Assess risk exposures and control gaps for any new business initiations and establish robust monitoring mechanism for new business launches;

• Take initiative in design, enhance and generate regional risk profile reports and dashboards such as Key Risk Indicators or risk heat map;

• Review and analyze Operational Risk incidents, coordinate and challenge Risk and Control Self-Assessment to further identify any potential risks and strengthen existing controls;

• Conduct back testing of control effectiveness and efficiencies, uncover insights and identify key areas for improvements;

• Work closely with other functions regionally or in country to deep dive on core Operational Risk issues and prioritize automated mitigation needs; 

• Contribute to continuous Operational Risk system and tools improvement;

• Promote strong risk-oriented culture across GrabFin.

The Must-Haves

• A good degree with at least 8 years of experiences in financial services sector.

• In-depth understanding of Op Risk management or audit methodologies specific to Wallet/Payment system/FinTech company.

• Strong communication and presentation skills, with excellent stakeholder management capability.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyze significant amount of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Team player with the ability to work independently to manage and deliver projects within tight deadlines.
