Position Overview
As an Electromechanical Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the process from assembly of electromechanical components to subsequent functional evaluation, as well as final environmental testing and integration testing as a robotic system. You will work closely with Mechanical/Electrical/Software Engineers to make the required integration test and evaluation happen properly.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute functional and environmental testing of our custom-designed robotic system, including various PCB assemblies and mechanical components
- Complete preparation of the system and components to be evaluated, including attaching sensors and writing appropriate firmware
- Maintain test facility including maintenance, repairing, and troubleshooting
- Perform electromechanical assembly
- Fabricate and repair cable harnesses including soldering, crimping, assembling connectors
- Document testing results
- Assist engineers in the research and development of tests
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of experience in electromechanical hardware assembly and testing
- Capable of performing detailed work such as mechanical assembly, soldering and electrical harness assembly
- Basic operation and knowledge of Linux OS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience in the aerospace industry or other high-reliability operating environment
- Experience with test instrumentation and control components such as pressure transducers, thermocouples, RTDs, strain gauges, accelerometers, and load cells
- Able to read mechanical and engineering drawings and interpret tolerances (including GD&T)
- Able to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Skilled with 3D CAD software
- Skilled with mechanical hand tools and machining tools such as mill, lathe, drill press, etc.
- Skilled with soldering and electrical wiring
- Positive attitude and able to work well on a team
- Able to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
- Able to stay organized with strong attention to detail
Additional Qualifications
- Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed
- Physical capacity to independently lift objects weighing up to 40 lbs. unassisted

Salary/Pay
- $25 - $35/hour
- Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
