About the Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Intern to join our Space Robotics team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for those who have a passion for space exploration, robotics, and manufacturing to gain hands-on experience. This role will serve as the crucial link between our engineering and manufacturing departments, helping to bring theoretical designs to life.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in facilitating communication between the engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Participate in the testing and validation of designed components to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards.
  • Assist in developing assembly procedures and guidelines for the manufacturing team.
  • Help troubleshoot and resolve issues arising during the assembly process under the guidance of experienced team members.
  • Aid in documenting testing procedures, assembly instructions, and troubleshooting solutions.
  • Assist in maintaining and managing laboratory equipment.
  • Help maintain inventory of parts and supplies, coordinating with procurement as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Some experience in a lab or manufacturing environment, preferably in robotics, aerospace, or a related course project.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Strong desire to learn and grow technical skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
  • Basic understanding of technical drawings and specifications.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with mechanical/electrical assemblies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with CAD software.
  • Familiarity with lab testing equipment and tools.
