How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:
The below is designed to give you an idea of the role you will play. There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do.
- Lead process design and development for hydrogen peroxide production.
- Prepare and review PFDs, P&IDs, mass and energy balances, and process control strategies.
- Specify and evaluate process equipment including distillation columns, pumps, heat exchangers, and instrumentation.
- Ensure process safety through HAZOP studies, risk assessments, and compliance with AS, ASME, API, and ISO standards.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and propulsion engineers to integrate process systems into plant layout and ensure alignment between engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
- Maintain documentation of all designs, drawings and test plans.
- Manage project phases: feasibility, detailed design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Develop and control project budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
- Coordinate with suppliers and regulatory agencies to ensure timely project delivery.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and capital expenditure justifications for management.
- Develop and implement process safety management systems and quality assurance protocols.
- Oversee plant commissioning, performance testing, and operator training.
- Develop standard operating procedures and maintenance documentation.
- Provide ongoing technical support to ensure plant reliability and optimisation post-startup.
- Ongoing technical support of plant and process.
- Bachelor’s (B.S.) degree in Chemistry, Process or Chemical Engineering
- Experience with catalysts and electrochemical production
- Working experience in a processing facility, ideally handling dangerous goods
- Working experience with relevant Australian Standards (AS4326, AS1894)
- Ability to obtain NV1 Security Clearance
- Experience with working on distillation
- Experience with Hydrogen Peroxide
- Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ)
- Ability to rapidly change goals while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
