How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:

The below is designed to give you an idea of the role you will play. There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do:

• Develop strategies, policies, and procedures to foster favourable supply agreements and robust supplier relationships.
• Build and lead a small team, developing work plans and KPIs to achieve team goals.
• Contribute to the strategic and operational plans of the Finance team.
• Develop a procurement framework with associated policies and procedures.
• Contribute to the development, execution, and enhancement of procurement strategies across all purchasing channels.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on contract negotiations, supplier preferences, and service level agreements.
• Conduct research and analysis into market conditions, procurement issues, and best practices.
• Accurately report, interpret, and analyse expenditure data, identifying opportunities for improvement.

Mandatory Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or other technical discipline
• 5+ years of Procurement experience
• 2 years of experience in a leadership role
• NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred

• Technical knowledge in a commodity – For example, raw materials, manufacturing, etc.
• Experience in sourcing from a global supply base using various contractual models.
• Proven success working on cross-functional new product introduction projects, completing cost models, and negotiating.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and purchasing/planning functions.
• Exceptional written, verbal and presentation communication skills
• Ability to identify and resolve technical, operational, and organizational problems.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment.
