How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:

The below is designed to give you an idea of the role you will play. There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do.

• Process accounts payable transactions and other related tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
• Reconcile vendor accounts, ensuring accurate records and resolving discrepancies as needed.
• Verify that all transactions are recorded in the correct accounts, coded appropriately, and match with corresponding purchase orders.
• Confirm receipt of goods or services as part of the invoice approval process to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process, including assistance with credit card transactions.
• Input data and maintain accurate records, supporting reconciliation of banking and other accounting-related transactions.
• Collaborate and maintain positive relationships with vendors, internal stakeholders, and other departments.
• Provide additional support as required by management for various accounting, administrative tasks and Finance Projects.

Mandatory Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• At least 3 years proven experience in managing an account's payable function
• Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principals
• Solid understanding of Xero accounting system advantageous.
• ApprovalMax desirable but not essential.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• National Police Check essential.

Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Experience in pursuing employees and suppliers for documentation to substantiate expenditures paid
• The ability to work independently and part of teams.
• The ability to meet deadlines
