Position Overview:
SpaceWorks is seeking an intern for Spring 2024 (January - April) with interest in aerospace modeling and simulation to join our software team. In this role, you will assist in the development and optimization of simulation tools that model complex aerospace systems. Your contributions will help enhance our analytical capabilities and support ongoing projects. Given the nature of our work, US Person status is required. The position is located 100% onsite at our Atlanta, GA office and is a seasonal, full-time (hourly) position.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Start-to-finish digital modeling of complex aerospace systems and processes
- Create models that leverage discrete-event simulations (DES) and agent-based modeling
- Develop interactive dashboards to provide a rich user experience with real-time feedback
- Leverage analysis skills to investigate trends, document insights, and narrate results to key stakeholders
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Currently pursuing a degree (BS, MS, or PhD) in computer science, aerospace engineering, industrial engineering, systems engineering, or a related field
- Experience programming, Java preferred
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio
- Windows and Linux operating systems
- Must be available for 40 hours per week during Spring 2024 (January - April).
- Citizenship Requirement: Must be a U.S. citizen due to the nature of our work.
- Onsite Requirement: This internship is 100% onsite in Atlanta, GA.
