Overview
We are seeking a full-time Talent Acquisition Specialist 3 at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for serving as a consultative recruiting partner, managing end-to-end recruiting for a diverse portfolio of roles with increased complexity and volume. This role influences hiring outcomes through proactive sourcing, data-informed decision-making, and strong collaboration with hiring leaders and cross-functional partners, contributing to talent strategy execution, recruiting best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Functions
- Independently manage end-to-end talent acquisition for professional and specialized roles, from requisition intake through offer acceptance
- Serve as a consultative recruiting partner to hiring managers, building trusted relationships by aligning recruiting efforts with role requirements, timelines, and candidate expectations
- Lead structured intake discussions with hiring managers to align on hiring strategy, candidate profiles, and evaluation criteria
- Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies for both active and passive talent pipelines across multiple recruiting channels
- Proactively assess candidate qualifications against job requirements and competencies, providing clear recommendations to hiring managers
- Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) and related tools to ensure accurate documentation, data integrity, and compliance
- Maintain regular communication with hiring managers regarding candidate pipeline status, market conditions, and anticipated hiring challenges
- Ensure a positive and well-informed candidate experience through consistent communication and process transparency
- Participate in and support internal and external recruitment events, including preparation, representation, and candidate engagement
- Monitor pipeline health and recruiting progress using metrics and data to identify risks and adjust strategies
- Resolve moderately complex recruiting challenges independently, escalating higher-risk issues appropriately
- Collaborate with recruiting peers and HR partners to share best practices and support team effectiveness
- Adhere to confidentiality, ethical recruiting practices, and all applicable employment laws and regulations
- Consistently meet or exceed recruiting performance metrics by effectively managing pipelines, adjusting sourcing strategies, and addressing risks that may impact hiring timelines
- Act as an informed ambassador of the organization’s employer brand by articulating culture, mission, values, and employee experience in a way that engages candidates and supports effective hiring outcomes
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology or related discipline and a minimum of 5 years of relevant progressive recruiting/talent acquisition experience
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to influence hiring decisions through consultative guidance, data, market insight and candidate assessment
- Experience recruiting for specialized, professional, or hard-to-fill roles using proactive sourcing strategies
- Demonstrated ability to partner with hiring managers to refine candidate profiles, hiring strategies, and interview processes
- Demonstrated success managing multiple requisitions simultaneously with minimal oversight
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance requirements, and structured interview practices
- Ability to travel as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experience planning, researching, or leading recruitment events, hiring initiatives, or talent campaigns
- AIRS or PHR certification
