Overview
Garmin Canada has opportunities for full-time Hardware Design Engineers who are passionate about solving real-world challenges in consumer electronics, working on either the Products Team or the Biosensors Team.
As a member of the Products Team, you will drive the end-to-end electrical and system design of next-generation consumer fitness devices. You will be responsible for the full product lifecycle – transitioning concepts into shippable hardware through design, validation, and manufacturing support. You will collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure the hardware meets performance and quality standards while adhering to a consumer electronics schedule.
As a member of the Biosensors Team, you will assist in the design and validation of various sensing electronics to measure industry leading biometrics such as wrist based optical heart rate, SpO2 and Electrocardiogram (ECG) for medically regulated A-Fib detection. This team’s work is currently in over 75 wearables providing essential features for Garmin’s customers while also pushing the boundaries on size, power and cost. You will work directly with others across Garmin’s product segments, including Fitness and Outdoor, and be responsible for creating, productizing and maintaining new technologies for consumer products.
At Garmin Canada, we create more than just products – we inspire solutions and innovations that change and shape how we live, work and play. With bike parks and trails right outside our front door, our office is perfectly positioned for testing out the very products we develop here. You’ll be able to take in the magnificent mountain views – even from your workspace – and still be only 15 minutes from Calgary.
