Overview
We are seeking responsible and enthusiastic candidates to join the Product Performance team to help Coordinate and perform standard field testing for Garmin products in all stages of development.
Essential Functions:
- Assist with Garmin product development and validation by working with Product Performance Analysts to set and execute well-defined tasks in which data will be recorded from athletes using prototype sensors.
- Coordinate basic product testing including recruiting athletes, booking test facilities and maintaining test equipment.
- Conduct data collection sessions with athletes according to established test protocols
- Accurately record data on prototype devices during test sessions.
- Download and store data according to standard processes.
- Verify the completeness of the datasets collected using internally developed processing tools.
- Document test progress/outcomes and communicate with project leader.
- Identify and resolve basic issues during data collection and logging.
- Work collaboratively and professionally in a team environment with other Garmin associates to achieve goals, sharing information freely and positively
- Understand and comply with Garmin’s Mission, Vision, Values and Quality Policy
Education, experience, and skills required:
- Some post-secondary coursework and experience in similar field relevant for successful performance of the essential functions of this job description
- Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
- Demonstrated ability to achieve goals while working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
- Must demonstrate a personal passion for fitness, health and wellness
- Must be detail-oriented with the ability to maintain and deliver a high level of quality and accuracy
- Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
- Demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to manage priorities in a flexible and fast paced environment
- Ability to learn and apply new knowledge quickly
- Demonstrate an intrinsic drive to perform to one’s full potential at every opportunity
- Possess a sense of urgency and commitment in delivering solutions in a timely fashion
- Ability to learn how to use and apply data management tools
- Ability to work independently at off-site locations
Desirable qualifications:
- Experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Garmin personal monitoring products
- Candidates with a personal passion for health, wellness and fitness are preferred!
