Mission

This role is responsible for planning and executing data-driven brand and product marketing targeting sports enthusiasts and active lifestyle consumers, with a strong focus on new product launches, objective setting, performance management, and marketing efficiency, including the planning and successful execution of sports events such as marathon events.

By deeply understanding Garmin’s sports science, the role drives brand awareness, user acquisition, and brand preference, while actively collaborating with running communities, athletes, and key stakeholders both online and offline.

In addition, the role strengthens Garmin’s position in the sports market and enhances brand awareness by successfully hosting and leveraging marathon events as key brand-building platforms.

【Description】

  • Lead go-to-market planning and execution for GPS sports smartwatch product launches, including performance tracking and post-launch evaluation.
  • Develop and execute effective consumer marketing communication strategies based on a deep understanding of Garmin’s sports science, and measure campaign performance.
  • Manage running communities and work closely with the community during new product launches by organizing special events or campaigns to attract target audiences.
  • Plan and operate brand sports events, including marathon events and other running-related activities.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key community members, influencers, brand advocates, and KOLs to drive consistent brand messaging and community participation across online and offline channels.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team and other cross-functional stakeholders to support sell-through initiatives and drive sales growth.
  • Monitor running and sports market trends, including event and consumer trends, and apply insights to practical marketing execution.
  • Perform other assigned tasks as directed by the line manager.

【Qualifications】

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Marketing or related fields.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of marketing experience.
  • Experience in planning and operating sports or marathon events, as well as community-related marketing activities, is preferred.

Skills:

  • Ability to develop product and marketing strategies and clearly communicate recommendations to executive management.
  • Strong interest in running or sports; prior involvement in running communities or activities is a plus.
  • Proven ability to set, track, and manage measurable KPIs to evaluate marketing performance.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Business-level English proficiency, both written and verbal.

Personal Traits:

  • Innovative spirit and quick learning ability, able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
  • High sense of responsibility and pro activity, able to work efficiently under pressure.
