Overview
We are seeking a full-time Communication Design & Media Specialist in our Mexico location (Tlalnepantla de Baz, Edo. Mexico). In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that every internal message and visual piece reflects Garmin Mexico’s values and identity, strengthening our culture and creating experiences that inspire and attract customers. This role will also design, localize, and produce engaging print materials for publications, point of sale displays, and trade shows, all in compliance with Garmin's brand guidelines.
Essential Functions
We are seeking a full-time Communication Design & Media Specialist in our Mexico location (Tlalnepantla de Baz, Edo. Mexico). In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that every internal message and visual piece reflects Garmin Mexico’s values and identity, strengthening our culture and creating experiences that inspire and attract customers. This role will also design, localize, and produce engaging print materials for publications, point of sale displays, and trade shows, all in compliance with Garmin's brand guidelines.
Essential Functions
- Create and adapt final assets for print ads, brochures, POS displays, and other materials according to Garmin brand guidelines
- Coordinate with outside vendors to ensure proper file format and dimensions of POS displays and other materials
- Catalog, categorize and tag assets for ingestion
- Support the advertising and promotional needs of our dealers and distributors as requested
- Regularly meet with creative team members, web content coordinators, etc. to ensure that work is consistent
- Coordinate activities between the marketing team, agencies, and internal design teams
- Responsible for the development of visual elements based on requirements, understanding the needs of the brand and within established deadlines
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Industrial Design, or related field AND a minimum of 2 years graphic design work experience
- Experience designing and coordinating internal campaigns and visual materials
- Experience managing internal channels such as newsletters, digital screens, intranet, and corporate social media
- Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite, Email, Internet/Web search or equivalent products
- Experience with Design tools like PowerPoint, proficiency Adobe
- Experience with Creative Suite mainly in Photoshop, Illustrator skills (intermediate to advanced)
- Content adaptation skills across different static, animated and video formats
- Demonstrated effective strategic thinking and creative sensibility
- Demonstrated proficient level of understanding and functional capability of software design for creation, edition, and manipulation of creative assets
- Demonstrated strong empathy and communication skills to connect with diverse audiences
- Demonstrated exceptional time management, organizational skills, and ability to solve problems
- Advanced English proficiency
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Digitally savvy, have a strong social medial content along with familiarity with digital communication tools and metrics
- Highly collaborative, works well with others, including Marketing services teams, internal marketing stakeholders and external suppliers, to deliver results
- Ability to turn complex ideas into inspiring visual stories
- Experience in retail design, POP graphics, storefront window designs and promotional graphics
- Working experience with a Digital Asset Management Database
- Fitness/Outdoor enthusiast
