Overview
We are seeking a full-time Human Resources Administrative Assistant in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for providing reception and administrative support to the associate base, Executive Assistant of Human Resources, Vice President of Human Resources, and assist in other departmental administrative functions in the Human Resources department. This role also covers core hours of the reception desk at our main associate entrances.
Essential Functions
- Manage HR Reception Desk by answering the phone, fielding associate inquiries and departmental inquiries, performing transactions for various HR items and tracking and depositing funds with Finance
- Assist Executive Assistant on internal and external sponsorship opportunities
- Manage HR Admin email box
- Assist with maintenance of HR site through SharePoint
- Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external customers managing the Human Resources Newsflash alerts as needed through SharePoint
- Coordinate order and delivery of flower arrangements for Garmin associates according to policy
- Coordinate recognition program for Garmin associates according to policy
- Maintain associate files and file room
- Create monthly HR newsletters
- Manage resource library
- Assist Executive Assistant with planning and coordination of internal and external events
- Assist Executive Assistant with administrative duties such as correspondence, creating reports, forms, letters, filing, typing, scanning and copying
- Assist Executive Assistant with preparation and organization of materials needed for presentations to internal and external audiences
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or a related degree OR a minimum of 4 years of combined education and relevant work experience
- Must have proven experience dealing with confidential matters
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
- Must be flexible and able to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and must be detail-oriented
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient experience working with Microsoft PowerPoint, Access, and Visio
