Overview



We are seeking a full-time Organizational Development Practitioner 2 in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for partnering with management to provide professional development guidance by conducting talent reviews, assisting in the creation of development plans, and tracking progress of high-performers and high-potentials at Garmin. This position will also collaborate with managers, HR Business Partners and the Organizational Development team to conduct needs assessments and propose development outcomes and is closely aligned with the HR team, Leadership and Professional Development team, and managers in assigned business segments.

Essential Functions

  • Partner with managers on organizational development initiatives including the planning and execution of talent reviews for assigned organizations and/or managers
  • Facilitate the use of a variety of industry benchmarked tools like 360 feedback and other assessments
  • Gather data from talent reviews and partner with OD team on suggestions for programming needs
  • Collaborate with HR team and HR leadership to train, implement, and measure engagement survey outcomes
  • Manage L&PD mentoring initiatives
  • Provide the professional development team, HR team, and managers action items based on talent initiatives
  • Monitor, progress and track the effectiveness of development initiatives
  • Manage the participant lists for any leadership programs and/or hi-potential programs
  • Develop reliable solutions to a wide range of management challenges using sound problem-solving techniques

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or Effectiveness, Psychology, or another related discipline AND a minimum of 3 years of work experience performing a substantially similar role OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of basic HR practices and functions
  • Proven strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Displayed commitment and passion for developing teams and individuals
  • Demonstrated capacity to train others and manage programs
  • Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated effective presentation skills and public speaking ability
  • Must possess the ability to maintain flexibility to travel (up to 10% of the time)
  • Must possess previous experience and commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding business and Human Resources matters
  • Demonstrated critical reasoning and consultation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage business knowledge and HR metrics in decision making

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or Effectiveness, Psychology, or another related discipline
  • 360 Feedback, leadership, or assessment certification
