Overview
We are seeking a full-time Pricing Analyst in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for creating/managing Global pricing in Oracle partnering with cross-functional teams developing manageable pricing solutions to Garmin offices around the world.
Essential Functions
- Act as key contact for document originators and pricing stakeholders (including but not limited to sales, business intelligence, IT, dealer applications, support management, marketing, global pricing colleagues)
- Lead pricing initiatives of various sizes/complexities, ensuring visibility at all applicable levels of the organization
- Primary decision maker in regard to determining the most effective pricing method for entering pricing request into Oracle for each Dealer, Dealer Type, Sales Channel, Segment or Organization
- Analyze pricing needs in order to guide/assist pricing stakeholders with unique/effective solutions to create price strategies and solve discrepancies
- Communicate to internal customers, pricing stakeholders, and all Garmin Offices of time sensitive pricing changes
- Create, manage and evaluate pricing forms to verify completeness, accuracy of data and practicality of each pricing method or solution
- Electronically route forms to ensure appropriate/timely approvals
- Function under specific time constraints in order to meet customer commitments while not sacrificing quality output
- Administer the creation, maintenance and upload of files related to price lists, modifiers, and restrictions within Oracle
- Establish/follow written and verbal procedures to maintain pricing information integrity for processes such as quotations, order entry, pricing verification and quality improvement opportunities
- Create/manage pricing solutions while also communicating, consulting and collaborating with all Garmin offices that utilize an Oracle based infrastructure in order to provide global support
- Ensure any new pricing initiatives do not negatively impact other Garmin organizations, and coordinate with each of those organizations to understand/resolve any potential issues
- Manage electronic filing system of pricing forms, approvals, pricing structure mapping, and process documentation
- When pricing issues do arise, understand how, when and why the problem came to exist, as well as determine how best to communicate/resolve the error
- Responsible for coordination, collaboration, efficient, and successful implementation of various global projects in order to contribute to the execution of a global uniform pricing management and a structured pricing policy
- Participate in system integrations/implementations while also critically investigating system updates and identifying the impact on pricing structures
- Update, maintain and share professional knowledge by continuously remaining up-to-date of the evolutions and developments of pricing strategies
- Create/generate various detail reports depending on department needs and provide analysis of data to make specific recommendations to pricing stakeholders as requested
- Safeguard the security/accuracy of pricing information
- Maintain open/honest communication with department supervisor/manager
- Maintain working knowledge of products and actively learn pricing initiatives of new products and new product segments
- Accept/complete projects and other miscellaneous Marketing Administration duties as assigned
- Look for efficiencies within pricing procedures that increase productivity while maintaining accuracy
- Act as primary backup for Dealer Account Administrator role
- Maintain knowledge of current marketing programs and how to administer them
- Represent Garmin at industry and professional meetings
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree AND a minimum of 1 year relevant work experience OR a minimum of 5 years total equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Must demonstrate project management skills with a proven track record in delivering projects within the expected timeline
- Must have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical abilities, and the capacity to work quickly and effectively
- Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Must be positive, detail/quality oriented, organized, analytical, team oriented, a multi-tasker, and a driven problem solver with proven success in solving difficult problems with the ability to prioritize and work proactively/effectively and make quick decisions in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and respectful interpersonal communication skills to work across functional and organizational lines with strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent time management/follow-up skills with ability to generate/support pragmatic solutions that meet Garmin’s pricing requirements, while maintaining high quality standards
- Demonstrated proficiency and effective data-entry and ten-key skills
- Ability to partner with other team members utilizing feedback while working towards a collaborative outcome
Desired Qualifications
- Significant experience with Oracle applications
- Demonstrated significant experience with global pricing structure within Oracle database
- Garmin product knowledge
- Customer Service experience
