Overview



We are seeking a full-time Marketing Manager in our Santiago, Chile location. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and establishing the marketing strategy for Garmin Chile based on the global business guidelines, by leading the marketing team and supervising, planning and measuring the results of the annual marketing plan to support sales and create brand awareness and increase brand’s market share, guaranteeing Garmin is positioned as a leader in the Chilean market.

Essential Functions

  • Create the marketing plan strategy establishing and following up on the marketing calendar and budget, managing the different part of the budget effectively, ensuring costs are controlled while maximizing impact, to guarantee goals are reached as planned and align with the company goals and customer’s needs
  • Manage the different external marketing agencies and public relations plans, while guiding and supervising a team of marketing professionals, to create engaging content that is aligned with corporate content/messaging guidelines
  • Develop and oversee the execution of marketing events and sponsorships, from preparing proposals and contracts for approval to the delivery of world class events that fully exploit branding opportunities that align with Garmin´s guidelines and objectives
  • Focus on ensuring that Garmin continues to position and grow in the mass consumer market by implementing joint actions with retail partners that consistently lead to increase our market share in Chile
  • Manage trade marketing efforts to ensure best in class displays and brand exposure throughout Garmin´s retail distribution channels
  • Participate in the effective design and management of the product portfolio and pricing strategies
  • Monitor and analyze the performance metrics of all marketing efforts, and provide timely analysis, feedback and guidance to senior management

Basic Qualifications

  • University Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration or related field AND a minimum of 3 years of experience in the marketing field
  • Previous experience in all facets of Brand Development activities with a well-established Consumer Product Company, preferably in the field of Consumer Electronics and/or Sports Marketing
  • Proven track record in an agency-side client-service environment, including exposure to clients and the ability to lead project teams
  • Excellent analytical skills with experience using marketing analytics tools to assess campaign effectiveness
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and managing multichannel marketing platforms
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision to meet or exceed deadlines
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment
  • Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
  • Driven problem solver with proven success in solving difficult problems
  • Excellent time management and follow-up skills
