Overview
We are seeking a full-time Key Account Executive - Marine in our Mexico City, Mexico location. In this role as a highly motivated professional, you will be responsible for developing new dealers and sales of Garmin’s marine products and will also be highly involved in product management & product development for Garmin’s marine products sold in Mexico.
Essential Functions
- Pursue business relationships with new Marine Dealers and possible OEM partners
- Attend and coordinate boat shows and other trade shows
- Establish and execute sales plans, sales promotions and customer support
- Establish and maintain key account relationships
- Pursue business relationships with new Marine Dealers and possible OEM partners
- Visit Garmin dealer network to support sales and training efforts
- Partner and communicate regularly with Regional Sales Managers, Marketing Managers and Inside Sales to ensure appropriate merchandising and presentation of Garmin products
- Design, create and deliver training seminars to dealer network, and coordinate associated training activities with little or no supervision, exercising independent judgment as to how best to meet the individual training needs of the specific customer
- Prepare and maintain monthly sales forecasts for all marine and recreational products
- Develop and execute strategies to increase market share and profits
- Monitor market for need to modify pricing to meet sales objectives and profit goals
- Create and deliver sales presentations to prospects and existing key accounts
- Present detailed competitive analysis of Garmin’s marine and recreational product lines
- Attend and coordinate boat shows and other trade shows
- Travel constantly with little or no supervision (eventually 75% of time or greater)
- Support dealers in special events, regional shows, grand openings, etc.
- Complete timely and succinct trip reports, dealer review entries, and status reports
- Excellent product and pricing knowledge
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree AND a minimum of 3 years experience in consumer sales preferably in the marine sector OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Met and/or exceeded past sales goals with proven track record of sales successes
- Exceptional communication oral/written and interpersonal relationship skills
- Self-motivated, excellent organization skills, ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, and excellent time management skills
- English: Able to write and establish conversations
- Ability to present to large groups
Desired Qualifications
- Business to business sales experience
- Personal experience in fishing, boating and/or outdoor recreation activities
- Excellent product knowledge of communication and navigation systems
- Extensive knowledge or awareness of marine electronics (desirable with installation knowledge)
- Knowledge of Marine protocols such as NMEA 2000 or NMEA 0183
