Overview
We are seeking a full-time Operations Seasonal Associate (Spring 2025 High-School Work Study: Manufacturing) in our Olathe, KS location. This position is desigened for high school students to start working part time in January who would be looking to go full-time upon graduation in the spring. In this role, you will be responsible for working in either the Distribution Center, loading, unloading and moving material or the Manufacturing Center, assembling electronic components while following procedures as assigned.
Essential Functions
Manufacturing – Electronics Assembler:
- Assemble electronic components, subassemblies and systems
- Read shop orders, follow production work instruction and sample assemblies and receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed
- Position and align parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture or other holding device using hand or power tools
- Mount assembled components such as transformers, resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits and sockets on chassis, panel or printed circuit board
- Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases/cabinets
- Assemble and attach functional and cosmetic hardware such as caps, clamps and knobs to assemblies using hand tools/power tools
- Perform intermediate assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, cleaning, coating, epoxy bonding and curing
- Tend and perform operator level preventive maintenance on machines and equipment.
- Notify management of any conditions felt as being undesirable or nonconforming to product specification and any procedures that cannot be performed as documented

All Operations Associates:
- Must possess the ability to bend, twist and lift up to 55 pounds while using safe lifting techniques, standing for an entire shift and walking long distances throughout the facility.
- Must possess a high degree of dexterity and eye coordination, to allow manipulation of buttons, switches, hand tools and knobs on delicate equipment, products and parts, in the performance of essential functions
- This position will require the ability to sit, stand, look down, bend, twist and have dexterity with hands
- Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe work environment
- Must meet quality and productivity metrics
- Ability to accept responsibility for work assignments and job duties and to be held accountable for their successful completion
- Comply with all safety standards/policies and all corporate/department procedures

- Cross-train, as needed to learn all material handler functions
Basic Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 16 years old
- Must possess the ability to bend, twist and lift up to 55 pounds while using safe lifting techniques, standing for an entire shift and walking long distances throughout the facility
- Must possess a high degree of dexterity and eye coordination, to allow manipulation of buttons, switches, hand tools and knobs on delicate equipment, products and parts, in the performance of essential functions
- This position will require the ability to sit, stand, look down, bend, twist and have dexterity with hands
- Strong experience and aptitude with computers
- Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others

- Previous related experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
