Overview



We are seeking a full-time Product Service Strategy Intern in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for performing aspects of manufacturing and distribution operations activities, as applies to production, warehousing, and global product distribution which include process design/improvement, process documentation and checklist, cost/benefit analysis of projects, and reporting of results to management.

Essential Functions

  • Define key inputs into Product Service Plan for products in development cycle
  • Partner with Quality, Legal & OPS teams to capture sensitivities for product service and their impact on service strategy for the life of the product
  • Identify opportunities to reduce service & warranty costs for Garmin
  • Drive action with Engineering, S&OP to create service kits and instructions
  • Support the creation and improvement of customer facing support & service content
  • Partner with S&OP, OPS, Sales, and global offices to implement new value-added service channels
  • Partner with Engineering and IT in development of tools to support service activities
  • Effectively lead projects and drive improvements across cross-functional teams

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics, Analytics, Business Administration or a related field
  • Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
  • Proficient using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Superior organizational/analytical skills with keen attention to detail/quality

Desired Qualifications

  • Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5)
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution operations
  • Fluent in statistical analysis
  • Speak, read, and/or write in Spanish, German, or French
