Overview



We are seeking a full-time HRIS Systems Administrator 3 in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for serving as subject matter expert for complex system administration, application, and end user support for assigned systems.

Essential Functions

  • Develop reports and metrics utilizing Garmin’s HR systems and data bases and analyzes data to support data driven decision making, effective management of HR and business operations and process improvement
  • Thoroughly understand Garmin HR systems, processes and databases including but not limited to: ADP, Kronos, iCIMS and Oracle HCM Cloud to review reporting options, provide analysis and recommendations in the implementation and upgrade of HR applications
  • Provide a full range of systems administration support with minimal supervision and/or escalation to IT
  • Perform advanced application configuration
  • Lead testing of new applications including development of effective test scripts and identification of test cases to validate enhanced or new functionality and configurations
  • Serve internal/external customers with a high level of service by proactively identifying systems improvements to improve processes and enhance data accuracy and efficiency
  • Partner with users to identify and develop HR dashboards with metrics and benchmarks to assess HR and organizational issues, effectiveness, and opportunities
  • Design, document, implement and monitor advanced ad hoc and ongoing reports in HR applications that accurately reflect internal customer requirements and capture data that can be analyzed to manage business operations
  • Deploy self-service functionality to automate manual activities, improve processes and enhance accuracy and efficiency
  • Identify and quantify cost savings associated with efficiencies tied to improvements in processes and operations
  • Serve as the HR subject matter expert in the execution of complex HRIS tasks
  • Practice program and project leadership to meet goals and lead assigned initiatives with client group for programs, policies, and procedures to support the organizational culture
  • Partner with client organization and provide expertise on HRIS initiatives and business solutions
  • Assist senior HR professionals and HR Managers in the facilitation of difficult interactions among stakeholders and facilitate conflict resolution meetings
  • Recommend methods for integration of HR services with organizational initiatives to develop and achieve HR tactical goals
  • Monitor compliance with HR related legislation and regulations and Garmin HR policies with oversight from HR management and Legal
  • Apply a sense of urgency, commitment and focus on the right priorities, work collaboratively and professionally with other Garmin associates, and perform as a solid contributor on cross functional teams to achieve goals
  • Independently determine general approach and specific solutions to technical problems, provide reliable solutions to a wide range of difficult problems using sound problem solving techniques, and apply good judgment in setting schedules and risk taking

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, Business, Human Resources or related field AND a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience OR a Master’s Degree in one of the fields noted above or another related discipline AND a minimum of 3 years relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
  • Previous experience/familiarity with iCIMS
  • Demonstrates proficient knowledge of organizational business units and competitive market
  • Proven reputation as an approachable/effective HR professional serving associates/organization
  • Demonstrates leadership presence while securing management support, political savvy and the ability to influence decision making
  • Demonstrates proficient knowledge of measurement concepts, data collection, and analysis
  • Demonstrates understanding of HR related legislation, practices, processes, programs and technology
  • Demonstrates strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills along with effective presentation skills and public speaking ability
  • Must be positive, detail/quality oriented, organized, team oriented and a driven problem solver, multi-tasker, and self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage time in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment with great follow-up skills
  • Demonstrates the capacity to mentor or train others
  • Must possess previous experience and commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding business and Human Resources matters and demonstrated conflict resolution experience
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage business knowledge and HR metrics in decision making

Desired Qualifications

  • Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
  • Knowledge and/or experience with Oracle HR Management systems, iCIMS Reporting universe, SABA, and online benefits enrollment applications
  • Proficient knowledge and/or experience with Kronos Workforce Central Timekeeping and/or Absence Management modules and developing reports in ADP Payforce Query, ADP Info View and ADP Reporting
