We are seeking a full-time Production Artist in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to Visual Designer 1 associates and leveraging design background and passion for high-quality graphics for the different market segments that Garmin supports.
Essential Functions
- Prepare final software-ready image files based on supplied specifications for several types of product lines
- Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, copywriters, and developers
- Follow established processes and guidelines to ensure tasks are being completed on time
- Able to manage multiple basic projects in parallel from start to finish
- Stay current on traditional graphic design skills and on new graphic design tools and techniques
Basic Qualifications
- Associate's degree in graphic design/visual communication or high school diploma and three years of experience in related field
- Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
- Must have submitted an online portfolio demonstrating a strong graphic design background in order to be considered
- Proficient understanding of imaging formats, quality factors, and output-related information
- Proficent using Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and required tools
- Ability to learn and apply appropriate requirements, standards, processes, procedures, tools, and technologies
Desired Qualifications
- Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5)
- Knowledge of PowerPoint, Blender, After Effects and KeyShot
- Experience in Visual Communications or Graphic Design
