UI/UX Designer - Mission Control Center (MCC)
GalaxEye Space
Job Description
GalaxEye Space is building a fleet of next-generation multi-sensor Earth Observation satellites. At the center of this ecosystem is our Mission Control Centre (MCC) — the nerve center where satellites are monitored, commanded, and orchestrated as a unified fleet. To support mission operations, our teams need interfaces that are intuitive, dependable, and user-focused.
We are looking for a Product UI/UX Designer who can transform complex workflows and technical constraints into clean, thoughtful, and high-quality product interfaces for daily mission operations.
Role Overview
As a Product UI/UX Designer, you will collaborate with product teams, engineers, and end users to define how Mission Control products should work, look, and feel. You will own the full design lifecycle—from initial research to high-fidelity design delivery—and play a key role in shaping MCC interfaces, dashboards, internal tools, and geospatial applications.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with product, engineering, and domain experts to understand user problems, workflows, and constraints.
Lead user research and discovery activities and convert insights into structured workflows and experience goals.
Create user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes (primarily in Figma) for web applications and dashboards.
Define interaction patterns, edge cases, and ensure design feasibility through close collaboration with frontend engineers.
Contribute to and evolve a cohesive design system across Mission Control and related products.
Maintain clear design documentation including UX flows, component usage guidelines, and specifications.
Conduct design reviews and iterate rapidly based on feedback.

Strong visual design fundamentals: layout, typography, spacing, alignment, and component consistency.
Ability to work closely with frontend engineers and deliver implementation-ready design specs.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work with shipped examples.
Bonus Skills (Nice-to-Have)
Experience designing tools for technical or operational users (monitoring tools, analytics dashboards, developer tools, etc.).
Exposure to geospatial/mapping or data visualization concepts.
Interest or background in space systems, aerospace, or mission-critical environments.
Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system.
Basic understanding of frontend technologies (React, responsive layouts).
