Job Description

GalaxEye Space is building the next generation of Earth Observation (EO) solutions, specializing in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and Multi-Spectral (MSI) imagery. We deliver high-fidelity, high-value SyncFused products—created by fusing SAR and MSI data—for customers across the globe.

Role Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Delivery Manager to join our data acquisition and delivery division. This role is responsible for defining, managing, and ensuring the quality, consistency, and timely delivery of our satellite SAR data products. The ideal candidate is a Geospatial Expert with strong experience in pipeline design, remote sensing workflows, and automated QA/QC systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Pipeline Development: Design the complete data product generation workflow for SAR, MSI, and SyncFused products; collaborate with backend teams for implementation.

  • Geospatial Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert for geospatial processing, including geocoding, orthorectification, and GIS integration.

  • QA/QC Strategy: Define and develop test cases and metrics for Quality Assurance and Quality Control of SAR data products—focusing on geometric accuracy, radiometric quality, and data integrity.

  • Automation: Build and deploy automated and scalable QA/QC pipelines to ensure all delivered products meet GalaxEye's quality benchmarks.

  • Data Delivery Management: Work closely with mission control and operations teams to streamline the flow from raw satellite acquisition to final product delivery.

  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for data products, QA/QC procedures, workflows, and pipeline architecture.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics, Earth Observation, or related fields.

  • Remote Sensing Expertise: Minimum 2+ years of professional experience working with remote sensing datasets, tools, and workflows.

  • Pipeline Engineering: Proven experience designing and implementing automated geospatial or satellite-data processing pipelines.

  • Programming Skills (Bonus): Knowledge of Python and libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, GeoPandas, and Rasterio for geospatial processing or scripting.

  • QA/QC Experience: Ability to define quality standards, create measurable test cases, and implement automated validation workflows for geospatial products.

  • Mathematical Aptitude: Understanding of SAR/MSI geometric principles, geocoding, terrain correction, and product accuracy metrics.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience working with satellite missions or EO product delivery.

  • Knowledge of geospatial standards (OGC, ISO).

  • Experience with dashboards or visualization tools (Plotly, Dash, Tableau).

  • Cross-functional leadership experience.
