Role Overview
As the Program Manager, you will own the overall delivery of satellite programs (e.g., SAT-2, Mission Drishti, and upcoming missions) from concept to launch readiness. You’ll coordinate across cross-functional teams — engineering, supply chain, testing, compliance, and mission ops — to ensure every milestone aligns with technical, financial, and schedule objectives.
You will report directly to the Director – Tech Ops and act as the single point of accountability for schedule adherence, inter-team coordination, and program health reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Drive end-to-end program execution across multiple satellite projects — from system design to AIT, launch prep, and delivery.
Develop and maintain Program Plans, WBS, Gantt Charts, and Milestone Trackers across teams.
Coordinate with Project Managers (PMs) and Technical Project Leads (TPMs) to integrate subsystem and payload timelines into the overall mission plan.
Conduct regular Program Reviews (internal/external) and track action closure.
Manage program-level budgets, forecasts, and resource allocations.
Identify risks and interdependencies; ensure proactive mitigation and escalation as needed.
Interface with SCM, QA, Tech Compliance, and Partnerships teams for synchronized progress.
Present concise program health updates to leadership and Founders.
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Electronics, Mechanical, or Systems).
Master’s in Management/Program Management or PMP/PRINCE2 Certification (preferred).
3+ years of relevant experience in Program/Systems Management within Aerospace, Defense, or Satellite domains.
Skills & Requirements
10+ years of hands-on experience in project management, preferably in aerospace, satellite, or high-tech engineering domains. Strong understanding of space-borne system development cycles and integration processes.
Exceptional client-facing and internal communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proven experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Excel, Jira, Smart sheets, MS Project, Asana, or similar).
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to work methodically and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with space borne or satellite systems is a strong advantage.
