Strong command of orbital mechanics, mission analysis, and satellite operations concepts.
Proficient in Python for scientific computing; able to turn equations into correct, efficient, well-tested code (scripts/notebooks + tests).
Experience with mission design/orbit simulation tools or libraries (e.g., STK, GMAT, ODTK, FreeFlyer, Orekit/Nyx or equivalents).
Familiarity with Rust or C++ for modeling/analysis is a plus.
Ability to define and track performance metrics and benchmarks to ensure high-quality delivery.
Methodical, organized problem-solving with clear technical communication and version control (Git).
Working knowledge of numerical optimization and control concepts relevant to planning and operations; exposure to estimation/filtering is a plus.
Responsibilities :-
Simulate and model satellite and orbital dynamics for diverse mission scenarios.
Design constellation concepts for GalaxEye and evaluate incoming constellation proposals.
Develop software and tooling that support mission design, mission operations, and mission optimization—with clear, defensible prototypes in Python.
Run system-level studies of satellite and subsystem behavior in space to maximize constellation utility.
Translate design specifications into modular, maintainable, well-tested code.
Deliver work from concept through implementation and testing; collaborate with the platform team for integration and deployment.
Collaborate with internal teams and relevant external partners to secure data, validate results, and ensure smooth project execution.
Design rigorous experiments, benchmark multiple approaches, and present quantitative trade-offs (accuracy, runtime, robustness).
Advance modules through TRL/maturity stages with validation datasets, regression tests, and concise documentation.
Contribute software used by the Mission Control Center for planning, tasking, scheduling, and monitoring—engineered for reliability and zero planned downtime.
