GalaxEye Space, is a deep-tech Space start-up spun off from IIT-Madras and is currently based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. We are dedicated to advancing the frontiers of space exploration. Our mission is to develop cutting-edge solutions that address the challenges of the modern space industry by specialising in developing a constellation of miniaturised, multi-sensor SAR+EO satellites.

Our new age technology enables all-time, all-weather imaging, this with leveraging advanced processing and AI capabilities, we ensure near real-time data delivery and are glad to highlight that we have successfully demonstrated these imaging capabilities, the first of its kind in the world, across various platforms such as Drones as well as HAPS (High-Altitude Pseudo Satellites).

Position Overview:

At GalaxEye, we are developing a Radar system to be deployed in a satellite and launched into space. The ‘Digital Signal Processing Intern’ role majorly constitutes developing signal processing algorithms, understanding and deriving physics behind the algorithms and its subsequent implementation for the digital signals from the Radar.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing digital signal processing algorithms for various working modes of the Radar System.

  • Simulating the Radar data signals to understand and architect the algorithm for processing the Radar signals.

  • Conceptualizing and formalizing quality measurement schemes and criteria’s for the digitally processed data.

  • Deploying and measuring the performance of the algorithms on various environments and modes of operation of the Radar.

  • Validating the Algorithms using various test cases and test data.

  • Conceptualizing testing scenarios for the Radar data acquisition on ground for signal processing algorithm validation


Requirements

  • Familiarity with MATLAB or C or Python.

  • Solid understanding of signal processing concepts like matched filtering, pulse compression, operations on time domain, frequency domain, windowing, filtering functions, etc.

  • Knowledge and Experience with mathematical tools such as FFT, correlation, weighted averaging, etc

  • Understanding of various working modes of a Radar systems

  • Understanding of Radar electronics, FPGA’s, DSP’s, Analog Signal Processing
