Job Description:
GalaxEye aims to shape the future of Satellite Image Acquisition, providing the most meaningful datasets, thus helping businesses and governments make data-driven decisions based on insights from satellite imagery. We will provide Satellite Imagery Datasets and Value-added services to Geospatial Analytics Companies and Infrastructure enterprises. At GalaxEye, we are working to build the best remote sensing satellites and also, we are researching various aspects of remote sensing.
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated SAR Signal Processing Research Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a key role in developing and implementing cutting-edge algorithms for processing and analyzing SAR data. You will be responsible for the entire research lifecycle, from theoretical concept development to practical algorithm implementation and testing.
Responsibilities:
Conduct research on advanced signal processing techniques for SAR data, including:
Image formation algorithms
Target detection and classification
Super-resolution techniques
Develop, implement, and test new SAR processing algorithms in a high-performance computing environment (e.g., Python, MATLAB)
Analyze and interpret the results of SAR processing algorithms, drawing meaningful conclusions from the data
Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in SAR signal processing research and present findings at conferences and workshops
Collaborate effectively with other engineers, scientists, and researchers on SAR-related projects
Research on quality improvement of SAR data products
Document research activities and findings clearly and concisely
Requirements
PhD, Masters or Bachelors in Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Physics, or a related field with a strong focus on signal processing
Proven experience in developing and implementing algorithms for radar signal processing
Deep knowledge of mathematical tools such as the Fourier transform, Hilbert transform, statistical signal processing, Bessel functions, Taylor series, Hough transform etc.
Knowledge of SAR imaging principles and techniques is an added advantage
Strong understanding of radar theory and signal processing concepts
Experience with high-performance computing languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, MATLAB)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong work ethic and a passion for research
