The Opportunity

As a Marketing Analyst, you’ll be a key contributor and analytical backbone of our marketing organization –transforming data into insights that shape strategy, drive decision making, and optimize performance across the funnel. You’ll play a critical role in supporting our marketing data strategy and driving reporting and analysis efforts that ensure decisions are backed by accurate, timely, and actionable data.

In this role, you’ll proactively build dashboards, track KPIs, and answer ad-hoc data requests that inform both strategic and tactical decisions across Marketing. You’ll collaborate closely with partners across Demand Generation, Digital, and Content to evaluate performance throughout the funnel and uncover new opportunities for optimization. You’ll also work hand-in-hand with your Marketing Operations peers to ensure data flows seamlessly through our systems (CRM, MAP, web analytics, product usage, etc.) and downstream into our BI tools. Your ability to connect disparate datasets, define metrics, and uphold data integrity will enable Marketing to operate with precision, confidence, and speed.

This role is ideal for someone eager to make an immediate impact while growing into deeper ownership of marketing analytics, balancing technical fluency with business acumen and a desire to learn.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Reporting & Analysis: Partner with Marketing Analytics teammates to proactively use business intelligence (BI) tools, Sigma and Redshift to create, maintain, and distribute self-service dashboards and standardized reports that empower Marketing stakeholders with actionable insights.

  • Ad-Hoc Data Requests: Support ad-hoc, time-sensitive requests from internal stakeholders by extracting and analyzing data to uncover trends/ provide clear, data-backed responses.

  • KPI Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to define, document, and champion new and refined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics that accurately measure the health and impact of the Marketing organization's initiatives.

  • Strategic Insights: Collaborate with the Sr. Marketing Analytics & Insights Manager to determine how best to apply descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analysis to support key business objectives, such as campaign optimization and identifying new growth opportunities.

  • Data Integration: Support the creation of a comprehensive Engagement Full Funnel by collaborating with the Sr. Marketing Analytics & Insights Manager to connect disparate data sources (e.g., website, product usage, CRM) to generate new insights and provide recommendations that support strategic decision-making.

  • Data Governance: Monitor and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and cleanliness of marketing data, working with Marketing Operations to enforce data hygiene standards

The Skillset

You thrive on bringing structure and clarity to complex data, and translating it into clear, actionable insights that drive smarter marketing decisions. You have a solid understanding of B2B marketing funnels, attribution, and campaign performance metrics, and are meticulous about maintaining data accuracy. Proactive and detail-oriented, you’re comfortable working across systems, building dashboards, and learning new tools to elevate how data informs decision-making. You communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, and your curiosity, collaboration, and analytical precision make you a trusted partner in helping Marketing operate with clarity, confidence, and speed.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related quantitative field (e.g., Marketing Analytics, Business Administration, Data Science, Statistics, etc.).

  • 2-3 years of direct experience supporting B2B Marketing teams in an analyst capacity.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work autonomously, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.

  • Minimum of 1 year performing BI analysis and reporting (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Sigma, Power BI) and proven ability to build, maintain, and optimize scalable dashboards that transform complex marketing data into clear, actionable insights.

  • Proficient in SQL, with daily hands-on experience extracting, transforming, and analyzing large datasets from cloud data warehouses (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery).

  • Deep knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets for modeling, pivot tables, and advanced formulas.

  • Experience with marketing tech stack tools, including Salesforce and Marketo (or similar Marketing Automation Platforms) data structures

  • Familiarity with evaluating Marketing Attribution Models and working with attribution platforms (e.g. Bizible, CaliberMind, FullCircle)

  • A critical thinker who can move beyond basic reporting to identify patterns, uncover insights, and support data-driven decision-making.

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to clearly and confidently present findings and recommendations to a variety of audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.

90 Days at Flock

This serves as a preview of the 90 day plan you will receive if you were to be hired in this role at Flock Safety.

The First 30 Days

  • Get fully up to speed on Flock's data warehouse architecture, core business metrics, and existing attribution models.

  • Begin supporting ad-hoc data requests from the Marketing Operations Queue to understand the team's immediate needs and data pain points.

  • Partner with Sr. Marketing Analytics & Insights Manager to audit the existing dashboard and reporting library to develop a prioritized plan for optimization, consolidation, and efficiency improvements

  • Assist in reviewing and refining UTM and campaign naming processes to improve data consistency, tracking accuracy, and long-term campaign scalability.

The First 60 Days

  • Collaborate with the Sr. Marketing Analytics & Insights Manager to prepare and present your Point of View (POV) to Marketing leadership, outlining proposed optimizations and efficiencies for the marketing dashboard library, along with a phased rollout plan.

  • Lead the data analysis for a high-priority Demand Generation campaign, delivering actionable insights and clear recommendations to improve performance and pipeline impact.

90 Days & Beyond

  • Begin taking ownership of managing and maintaining day-to-day Marketing Channel Benchmarks. Your initial focus will be mastering current reporting processes and ensuring data integrity. Over time, you will be expected to drive continuous process improvement in our benchmarking methodology, transforming how we track performance and generate actionable, high-impact recommendations

  • Begin independently supporting the creation and rollout of new standardized dashboards and ad-hoc reporting initiatives that expand visibility across the Marketing organization.

  • Establish yourself as a trusted partner for ad-hoc data requests, proactively improving the reporting library, data access, and strengthening the foundation for future analytics scalability.

Salary & Equity

In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary between $120,000 - $140,000 as well as Flock Safety Stock Options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators. Your recruiter will discuss this in-depth with you during our first chat.
