The Opportunity

We’re hiring a Manager, Solutions Engineering (Regional) to scale and elevate our presales impact across the Regional segment. This role exists to:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Regional Solutions Engineers who partner with Account Executives to uncover customer pain, design tailored solutions, and demonstrate business value.

  • Improve coverage and engagement by ensuring SEs are brought into deals earlier, positioned as trusted advisors, and consistently delivering value-based discovery and demos.

  • Strengthen alignment with Sales, Customer Success, and Deployment to drive seamless handoffs and successful customer outcomes.

  • Build scalable processes, repeatable best practices, and enablement frameworks that maximize team performance across diverse territories.

This manager will play a key role in achieving Flock’s mission to reduce crime by 25% in the next three years by ensuring our presales organization helps agencies and communities fully understand the impact of our platform.

The Skillset

You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven ability to manage, coach, and grow presales/technical sales teams, ideally in SaaS, hardware-enabled, or public safety technology.

  • Sales Engineering Expertise: Strong background in technical discovery, solution design, and delivering compelling demos tied to measurable outcomes.

  • Collaboration Skills: Ability to partner across Sales, Product, and Customer Success to align on priorities and improve customer experience.

  • Operational Discipline: Experience building scalable processes, performance metrics, and tools to drive consistency and efficiency.

  • Communication & Influence: Clear, confident communicator who can represent both the voice of the customer and the vision of Flock to executives and field teams.

  • Domain Knowledge: Experience with law enforcement or public safety customers is a strong plus.

First 30 Days

  • Onboard into Flock’s mission, culture, and presales operating model.

  • Build trust and rapport with your team and key stakeholders across Sales, Product, and Customer Success.

  • Observe current Regional SE motions — shadowing discovery calls, demos, and internal reviews.

  • Align with leadership on success metrics, priorities, and current challenges.

First 60 Days

  • Begin active coaching and 1:1s with SEs to identify strengths and growth opportunities.

  • Implement structured team rhythms (weekly meetings, deal reviews, enablement sessions).

  • Partner with Sales leadership to ensure consistent SE engagement in Regional opportunities.

  • Start contributing to pipeline reviews, helping identify where SE impact is most needed.

90 Days & Beyond

  • Drive measurable improvements in SE engagement model, coverage ratios, and discovery quality.

  • Establish repeatable best practices and playbooks for demos, discovery, and value framing.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners on enablement needs and product feedback loops.

  • Build a culture of accountability, growth, and customer-first thinking within the Regional SE team.

Salary & Equity

In this role, you’ll receive a base salary of $187,200 plus a $46,800 commission ($234,000 total compensation), as well as Flock Safety Stock Options. Compensation is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators. Your recruiter will discuss this in-depth with you during our first chat.
