Your team is responsible for providing the manufacturing capability to deliver this state-of-the-art physical infrastructure. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you evaluate the product designs and create the processes, tools and procedures behind Google's powerful search technology. When vendors build parts for our infrastructure, you're right there alongside ensuring manufacturing processes are repeatable and controlled. You collaborate with Commodity Managers and Design Engineers to determine Google's infrastructure needs and product specifications. Your work ensures the various pieces of Google's infrastructure fit together perfectly and keep our systems humming along smoothly for a seamless user experience.
Through your leadership, you leverage your technical expertise to design and analyze products and related data, develop and improve manufacturing and supportive processes, and provide consultation to vendors, manufacturers, and internal teams. You lead complex projects to completion by managing resources and activities along the way.

Responsibilities
- Build and manage a team of Product Engineers supporting Google's AI and infrastructure platform (server, storage, networking, accelerator) deployed in data centers and support product form, fit, and function changes.
- Develop team strategy, goal and quarterly objectives. Assess and manage team performance and development plan.
- Balance team workload and develop staffing plans. Lead the team to support run-the-business activities to ensure CMs deliver quality products meeting on time delivery. Lead product health review to facilitate critical product performance metrics reviews (bonepile aging, yield, NPI transition, bill of materials health, capacity expansion and product qualification status to drive improvement).
- Partner with NPI leaders in driving early engagement, risks mitigation and sustaining team's input into manufacturing plan, design for excellence and test strategy.
- Guide and validate product qualification plans, review results to ensure product performance meets requirements.
