SUMMARY

Location is in Briggs, TX, north of Cedar Park. The Value Stream Lead will be responsible for maintaining day to day operations of the production team and ensuring that resources are being allocated in alignment with shop priority. Doing so ensures that we are able to maximize throughput and hit delivery schedules.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead production team to deliver quality product on time and on cost.
- Hold team to a high standard, holding team to internal team standards and policies as well as company policies
- Coordinate support for other production groups within the company
- Manage technician schedules to support critical operations
- Enforce safety guidelines and make improvements to shop safety practices
- Ensure that all operations are being done to the proper documentation and specifications as called out by detailed work instructions
- Manage PTO and timecards
- Hold team accountable and perform disciplinary actions as needed
- Maintain daily production schedule and disseminate it to the team as well as highlighting and raising issues to leadership
- Develop skills matrix and propose needed labor with data
- Implement continuous improvements to the floor
- Identify and create processes that are needed to improve efficiency, cost and quality
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required (training will be available to help everyone be successful)
- 2+ years’ experience in Carbon Fiber Composite Manufacturing processes, including demonstrated expertise in the following areas:
- Hand lamination (carbon fiber, fiberglass, Kevlar, etc.)
- Bonding operations (Material abrading, surface cleaning, adhesives)
- High tolerance cutting, drilling, and assembly
- Application of custom vacuum bags
- 4+ years in an Aerospace/Space Composite Manufacturing environment
- 1+ years in a leadership role
- Experience establishing new procedures and streamlining old procedures
- Very strong get it done attitude
- Cardinal knowledge of industry standard composite manufacturing processes
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Strong computer skills
- Attention to detail
- Direct communicator
- Demonstrated ability to follow processes and ensure that established processes are being maintained by others
- Meticulous craftsmanship
- Safety/Compliance Focused
- Strong Organizational skills
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Lift 50 Lbs.
