SUMMARY
The Spacecraft Integration Manager leads integration and manufacturing engineering teams to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality spacecraft builds. This role aligns engineering, production, and technician execution to meet program schedules while driving continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage Spacecraft Manufacturing Engineers, providing technical guidance, clear priorities, and defined work scope.
- Develop and maintain a prioritized backlog of manufacturing engineering work as new spacecraft programs are contracted.
- Coordinate with integration leads, planners, and program teams to ensure engineering and technician resources are aligned with build demand.
- Identify and drive process improvements within manufacturing engineering to improve quality, reliability, traceability, and efficiency.
- Act as Technician Supervisor, optimizing technician utilization to meet program priorities.
- Ensure technician workforce readiness through staffing coordination, daily execution support, and issue resolution.
- Define, maintain, and enforce a technician training and qualification matrix, including hazardous operations and safety-critical tasks.
- Partner with quality, safety, and operations teams to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in spacecraft, aerospace, or high-reliability hardware manufacturing, including 3+ years in a technical leadership or people management role.
- Experience in spacecraft, aerospace, or high-reliability hardware manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading engineers or technical teams in a production setting.
- Strong understanding of spacecraft assembly, integration, and test operations.
Preferred
- Experience with low-volume, high-complexity hardware production.
- Background in hazardous operations, technician training systems, or safety-critical environments.
- Experience supporting multiple concurrent programs or scaling production operations.
