Summary
The Senior Workday Administrator will serve as the strategic partner managing and optimizing our People ecosystem. This role is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, optimization, and overall day-to-day operation of the Workday HCM system. This role supports HR processes such as payroll, talent management, benefits administration, and employee data management. The Senior Workday Administrator collaborates with HR teams, IT, and business stakeholders to implement system enhancements, ensure data integrity, and provide user training and support. Additionally, this role may lead system upgrades, integrations, and compliance initiatives to maximize the effectiveness of the Workday platform.
Job responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
1. System Configuration & Maintenance
- Configure and maintain Workday modules including HCM, Recruiting, Time, Absence, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, and other functional areas
- Build and modify business processes (BPs), organizational structures, and data configurations
- Support and maintain supervisory organizations, job profiles, locations, cost centers, and position management
- Perform tenant management and coordinate release updates
2. Security & Access Management
- Assign and troubleshoot security access for users
- Configure security roles, security groups, and domain policies
- Conduct security audits and ensure compliance with organizational policies
3. Reporting & Analytics
- Create, maintain, and troubleshoot reports and dashboards
- Provide reporting support to end users
- Leverage Workday's reporting tools to deliver insights for decision-making
4. Integration Management
- Oversee integration development and management
- Coordinate with technical teams on integration system frameworks
- Monitor and troubleshoot integration issues
5. Support & Training
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Workday support cases and escalations (Named Support Contact)
- Manage Workday Community access and user roles
- Coordinate training requests and manage learner access to Workday Learning Center
- Develop training materials, FAQs, and job aids
6. Release Management & Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate, implement, and test new Workday features and capabilities
- Stay current with Workday innovations and best practices
- Participate in special projects for system optimization
7. Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Maintain audit trails and documentation
- Manage vendor relationships related to Workday services
8. Key Workday Administrator Roles assigned include:
- Named Support Contact Admin (NSCA): Manages support contact roles and submits/views cases
- Workday Community Administrator: Manages access to Workday Community
- Training Coordinator: Manages training requests and learner access
- Security Lead: Primary contact for security communications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or closely related field with 5+ years of HRIS administration in Workday or similar HRIS/ERP systems.
- 5 or more years of experience with Workday
- Ability to perform work under minimal supervision
- Strong analytical skills required
- Must possess an end user experience mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of Workday administrator training courses (e.g., HCM Core for Administrators, Workday Platform for Administrators)
- Strong project management skills
