This role provides executive leadership across all supply chain functions—including planning, sourcing, procurement, logistics, and digital systems governance—and oversees the teams responsible for both strategic direction and daily execution.

Core Responsibilities

Operational & Strategic Leadership

  • Own the development and execution of the company’s global supply chain strategy, ensuring alignment with production, engineering, finance, and corporate objectives.
  • Lead end‑to‑end supply chain operations to achieve performance targets including OTD, inventory turns, material cost, supplier performance, and continuity of supply.
  • Build and sustain a rate‑based, flow‑based supply chain model that supports predictable, scalable production.

Supplier & Risk Management

  • Direct supplier strategy, including supplier development, capacity planning, long‑lead procurement, and risk mitigation frameworks.
  • Ensure continuous monitoring of supplier health, performance, and delivery risk; drive corrective actions and long‑term improvement plans.
  • Oversee strategic sourcing decisions, supplier award processes, and commercial negotiations.

Planning, Systems & Data Governance

  • Lead ERP/MRP governance, ensuring planning parameters, data accuracy, and process discipline across the organization.
  • Partner with Digital/IT to enhance supply chain visibility, analytics, and planning tools that support rate readiness and decision‑making.
  • Drive integrated business planning (IBP/S&OP) processes to align demand, supply, and capacity.

People Leadership

  • Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing supply chain organization through organizational design, hiring, coaching, and capability development.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Develop future leaders and ensure succession planning across the supply chain function.

Authority

  • Set supply chain strategy and operational frameworks; recommend structural, process, and system improvements to senior leadership.
  • Approve sourcing strategies, supplier awards, and procurement decisions within executive authority limits.
  • Establish inventory strategies, safety stock policies, and material buffer models to support production stability.
  • Escalate significant supplier, capacity, or continuity‑of‑supply risks to executive leadership with recommended mitigation plans.

Qualifications

  • Proven executive‑level leadership across multiple supply chain domains (planning, sourcing, procurement, logistics, supplier development).
  • Strong operational execution mindset with the ability to translate strategy into scalable processes.
  • Demonstrated success implementing or sustaining rate‑based or flow‑based supply chain models.
  • Deep expertise in ERP/MRP systems, planning parameters, inventory management, and data governance.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to use data to drive decisions and prioritize effectively.
  • Experience developing supplier capacity, managing long‑lead materials, and mitigating supply risk.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, high‑growth, or transformational environment.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree (MBA or MS in Supply Chain/Operations) preferred.
  • Professional certifications (APICS/CPIM, CSCP, ISM CPSM) are a plus.

Years of Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience with ownership of planning, sourcing, procurement, and/or logistics.
  • 5+ years leading managers and cross‑functional teams.
