  • Job Summary
  • We are seeking a full‑time SubContract Administrator. The hired employee will be responsible for developing statements of work, issuing RFQs, developing subcontractor relationships, developing new vendors, and monitoring subcontract statuses. This position will work closely with the supply chain group and supplier quality teams to implement and develop a robust procurement system. This position is open to candidates ranging from entry‑level to senior‑level experience.
  • Responsibilities and Duties
  • • Develop subcontract specifications, statements of work, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services supporting development, production, and global sustainment.
  • • Prepare bid packages, conduct bidders’ conferences, develop evaluation criteria, analyze and evaluate proposals, negotiate subcontract provisions, and write subcontract packages for review.
  • • Negotiate and coordinate additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts.
  • • Manage major subcontract procurement of complex, mission‑critical hardware and/or services necessary to support assigned programs and proposal activities.
  • • Identify subcontract risks/issues and provide leadership in developing innovative solutions to complex subcontracting requirements.
  • • Represent the organization as the primary subcontract business point of contact to internal and external customers, including presentations as required.
  • • Manage subcontractor performance through weekly status meetings and progress reports; communicate schedule risks and develop recovery plans to meet delivery needs.
  • • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Required Qualifications and Skills
  • • Strong knowledge of Government Contracting (FAR, DFARS, ITAR) and acquisition principles, theories, and concepts related to government rules and regulations (DoD, NASA, etc.).
  • • Experience with Statements of Work and SDRL management.
  • • Experience with various contract types. • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. • Ability to understand complex requirements and develop innovative solutions.
  • Desired Qualifications and Skills
  • • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present to diverse audiences.
  • • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and guide employees, managers, customers, and external partners.
  • • Ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate subcontract activities across multiple work phases.
  • • Strong computer skills, including intermediate proficiency with MS PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and other standard office tools.
  • • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; capable of representing the organization as the primary contact on subcontract matters and providing leadership to less experienced employees.
  • Experience • 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Education
  • • Bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in supply chain management, contract administration, or a related discipline.
  • • Equivalent professional purchasing, subcontract, or contract administration experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Export Control / Compliance Requirements
  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
  • Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive salary range: $90,000.00 - $120,200.00 per year (dependent on experience and qualifications)
