Core Responsibilities
Material Requirements Planning & MPS Execution
Convert the Master Production Schedule (MPS) into accurate, time-phased material requirements.
Generate and release purchase requisitions in alignment with MRP output.
Ensure requisitions fully support planned production schedules and are released in accordance with defined planning parameters.
Maintain rolling forecasts for purchased components, including coverage for long-lead items.
Shortage & Risk Management
Monitor shortage risk, kit readiness, and part availability; identify constraints early and escalate as required.
Track PO aging and collaborate with Procurement to resolve delays or coverage gaps.
Support build readiness reviews with cross-functional teams, providing clear visibility into material status.
Planning Parameters & System Accuracy
Maintain accurate planning parameters such as lead times, safety stock, lot size, min/max levels, and reorder points.
Ensure system accuracy that drives clean MRP signals, preventing over-ordering, duplicates, or premature purchasing.
Validate BOM accuracy, effective dates, and master data to support production planning.
Cross-Functional Alignment
Partner with Procurement to communicate demand signals, supplier commit expectations, and aging PO concerns.
