Job Description

This is an all-encompassing role that will modify existing processes and procedures to improve production efficiency. The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience working within a team environment, be comfortable and confident working in a fast‑paced environment, and understand the importance of deadlines and their impact on schedules.

As an EHS Manager at ExoTerra, you will be optimizing safety for our employees across three different locations. You will work in standard manufacturing environments as well as support employees in cleanrooms.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing and facility systems

• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools

• Assist with facilities upgrades, renovations, and safety inspections

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all staff

• Facility setup and layouts

• Design and layout of new facilities with processes and controls for production lines

• Help implement process controls and metrics into production lines

• Work with Industrial Engineering and Production by participating in process improvement initiatives to streamline operations, reduce waste, and increase productivity through innovation

• Work side‑by‑side with the production team to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to increase production output

• Collaborate with Production Engineering teams to add new technologies, including IT and automation improvements

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 5+ years of related professional experience

• Strong knowledge of facilities maintenance, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems

• Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematic interpretation

• Proficiency in welding techniques and residential painting is a plus

• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams accurately

• Electrical troubleshooting skills

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production systems, and quality management principles

• Troubleshooting of mechanical devices and machines

• Lock Out / Tag Out experience

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Desired Skills

• Mechanical aptitude for working on mechanical equipment

• Visio preferred

• NetSuite and Costpoint experience preferred

• Epsilon3 preferred

• Capable of safely operating machine shop equipment

• Heavy equipment operation

Export Control / Compliance Requirements

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary range: $35.00–$50.00 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)
