ExoTerra is a world leader in solar electric propulsion systems and space exploration satellites. The company develops Hall Thrusters, propulsion modules, microsatellites and launch vehicle upper stages. We have been awarded multiple propulsion module and satellite contracts.

Job Summary

We are seeking a fulltime EEE Buyer. This person will support production and non-production orders and will be responsible for procuring electrical and machine technology, electronics, and related areas. Successful candidates should have prior purchasing experience, are self-starting and self-motivated, and experience in electronics and manufacturing.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Procure electronic components, manufactured parts including PCBs and machined components utilizing MRP requirements to support manufacturing

· Build and maintain good business supplier relationships

· Support bill of material maintenance and change orders

· Review, assess, and establish new suppliers that meet company expectations

· Schedule, prepare, and forward complete and accurate purchase orders, both in-house and outside companies

· Expedite and follow up on purchase orders as required to meet customer expectations

· Provide information to other departments regarding cost and delivery on a timely basis

· Follow up on supplier incidents, shortages, damaged items, and discrepancies and maintain related documentation

Required Qualifications and Skills

· Experience working manufacturing and electrical industries

· Strong attention to detail

· Excellent organizational skills

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Ability to work with others, clients, vendors, and co-workers in a professional manner

· Proficiency in Microsoft Suite

· Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions

· Working knowledge of purchasing and inventory control practices

· Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines

· Strong problem-solving, analytical, data analysis, critical thinking, decision making, and negotiation skills

Desired Qualifications and Skills

· Experience working with CostPoint

· Aerospace background preferred

· Strong background working with EEE parts and/or from a EEE parts vendor background

Experience

· 4+ years purchasing or supply chain experience

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering and/or manufacturing

Export Control/Compliance Requirements

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
