ExoTerra is a world leader in solar electric propulsion systems and space exploration satellites. The company develops Hall Thrusters, propulsion modules, microsatellites and launch vehicle upper stages. We have been awarded multiple propulsion module and satellite contracts and are in need of a PMP Senior Quality Engineer to support in customer contract compliance and review.

Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Parts, Materials and Processes (PMP) Quality Engineer with a specialization in Electronic Space Hardware. This position will work side by side with Electrical and Mechanical Engineering to review customer contractual documentation and ensure compliance with parts, materials, and process.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Review customer contract requirements and determine if ExoTerra currently meets or can meet the requirement.
  • Participate in EEE review related to the manufacturing and testing hardware. Support evaluation of technical data and support production with any issues.
  • Understand EEE parts and their characteristics. Have an understanding of their material make up, required specification/standard, and function and determine if customer requirements can be met.
  • Review contracts for prohibited materials and identify any special processes, tests, or requirements needed to meet customer requirement.
  • Support Design Engineering with product development. Assist with part procurement in regards to selection, qualification, required testing and FMEA of EEE parts and processes
  • Work with customer and ExoTerra Engineering teams to assist with deliverable process documentation. Technical writing required for this position.
  • PMP Engineer will be involved in pre and post contract agreement. Review contracts with management team to identify potential resource risks prior to contract agreement. Once contract has been awarded, create process requirement documentation.
  • Support SQE and Quality Manger with customer flow down requirements to suppliers and vendors.


Required Qualifications and Skills

  • 5-10 Years of PMP experience. Years negotiable depending on previous experience
  • Experience with Contractual Documentation
  • Experience with EEE parts and procurement
  • Experience with Aerospace material and part specification and processes- with a focus in Electronics
  • Experience with technical writing
  • Experience reviewing engineering drawings and/or specifications and providing guidance to design, thermal and manufacturing engineers
  • EEE parts testing, failure analysis and non-conformance resolution
  • Radiation harness requirements
  • Non-conformance and failure analysis disposition experience
  • Worst Case Analysis
  • Part Stress Analysis
  • High Level Written and Verbal Communication Skills
