Who You Are:

Reporting to the Antenna and Terminal Manager, the Systems & Networks Technician provides essential support to the engineers in laboratory activities, testing, validation, and demonstrator preparation. They are responsible for maintaining the laboratories of the Antenna and Transmission group at the Rambouillet teleport.

What You'll Do:

  • Organizing the measurement laboratory and managing associated equipment, including cable maintenance and inventory of equipment. Installing antennas as needed. Managing service requests with ICCO.
  • Monitoring the shipment of equipment for repair or loan (inbound or outbound).
  • Maintaining the test van to ensure functionality and road safety.
  • Maintaining test computers and the NAS.
  • Maintaining the hexapod.

Laboratory Network Management:

  • Configuring Ethernet switches (Cisco) and routers according to the engineers specifications.
  • Verifying the firewall's operational status and making configurations according to the engineers specifications.

Support during Tests and Demonstrations:

  • Assisting engineers in machine installations, computer preparation, and moving heavy antennas using a lift and overhead crane.
  • Participating in field tests (van travel for 2-3 days).
  • Driving the van during mobile connectivity tests.
  • Conducting mechanical validation tests on antennas (wind load) and being able to write a report.
  • Familiarizing oneself with tools (from the hexapod to the 3D printer, from the voltmeter to the spectrum analyzer for antenna alignment).

What It Takes:

BTS or BTEC in Electrical Systems.

Proficiency in English and French.

B driver's license (comfortable driving utility vehicles).

Team player.

Self-motivated and detail oriented.

Positive attitude.

Results-oriented.

Regular presence at the teleport, approximately 2-3 days a week, is required.

Where You'll Be: 2 days at Issy-Les-Moulineaux, 1 day at Rambouillet Teleport (France)
