About the role

The role will support the Video Business Unit (VBU) Finance team in on-going modelling and analysis business performance, reporting, budgeting & forecasting for VBU’s opex and capex. VBU generates approximately 700 M euros of revenues with a 80%+ EBITDA margin, being a significant contributor to the Group cash flow generation.

The position requires not only the collection of data but more importantly financial support through the interpretation and analysis of the trends and interrelationships that allow informed business decisions to be made.

This mission includes the following assignments:

• Managing monthly closing and coordinating with other departments (including Accounting, Central Controlling and Commercial / Sales-Operation teams) to ensure accuracy and exhaustiveness of Opex and Capex in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (IFRS and local French GAAP)
• Producing monthly reporting pack analysis on Opex and Capex for the VBU broken down by legal entity, by department and / or other angle of analysis where needed, in line with Central Controlling team
• Producing projections (Budget & Forecasts) and performance analysis on Opex and Capex for the VBU, including close interactions with departments’ heads (i.e. Sales regional VP, Pre-Sales & Resources VP, Ground Infrastructure VP, etc.) to ensure accuracy and exhaustiveness of the data
• Managing two side activities of the VBU being Occasional Use (approximately 8 M euros of revenues) and Fransat (approximately 4 M euros of revenues), being in charge of their full P&L and interacting directly and autonomously with the respective GMs
• Working on the preparation of the VBU 5-year plan exercise for Opex and Capex projections, in line with Corporate Finance department and VBU GM
• Assisting the VBU team on external audit requests, ad-hoc tasks and special projects
• Supporting new entity setups and integration
• Contributing to the finance process evolution of the department and our IT tools (SAP4HANA & OneStream) in the course of Eutelsat reorganization
• Assisting the VBU team in defining some operating procedures

Continuous improvement plays a big role, and you are someone who thrives on constantly looking for ways to improve process, procedures and team performance.

Profile & Experience

• Master's degree in Finance with minimum 3-5 years’ experience
• Experience in telecom sector is a plus
• Strong analytical skills (quantitative, financial)
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong skills and experience in Excel and good knowledge of Powerpoint
• Curious and customer oriented
• Knowledge of financial IT systems: first usage of SalesForce, SAP or reporting tool would be a plus
• Fluent French and English is mandatory
