Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Warehouse Inventory Control for a six-month contract. This contract role will lead a team to manage the warehouse, create a growth strategy, plan and implement inventory layouts, lead operational changes and make process improvements. The Manager, Warehouse Inventory Control is responsible for owning the entire cycle from receiving, putaway, kitting, cycle counts and shipping. The ideal candidate for the position is someone who has experience in a manufacturing company managing receiving, inventory, shipping, and carrier management. This candidate should be business savvy, possess excellent organizational capabilities and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the daily operations of warehouse including receiving, inventory management and control, kitting, loading and shipping
- Ensure the physical condition of the warehouse is clean and organized
- Develop agile and effective operational procedures that support material control and compliance with AS9100 D, and US Government Property requirements
- Provide direction to inventory and warehouse team in receiving, put away process, kit pull and distribution and shipment of material
- Perform cycle counts and audits to validate shelf-life storage, inventory accuracy, kit process, traceability and unique locations
- Document daily deliveries, archive packing slips, certificates of conformance and other supporting documentation and shipments for accurate record keeping
- Partner with procurement, finance, and manufacturing to resolve issues, and deliver required materials in a timely manner
- Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.
- Develop inventory metrics and present to leadership on monthly basis on inventory performance
- Improve overall efficiency, workflow and Implement process improvement initiatives
- Support maturity in new ERP system to optimize inventory control procedures.
- Propose and implement strategies to reduce costs
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse management, inventory logistics, manufacturing, material planning, procurement, or engineering.
- Working knowledge of Inventory Control
- Exposure to US Government Property requirements
- Ability to move, stand, reach and lift up to 25lbs
- Experience with ERP systems
- US Citizen and/or Permanent Resident (future security clearance may be required)
- Experience within the aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic fields
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- BS degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering, or Supply Chain or 8+ years of professional experience in lieu of a degree
- AS9100 D process development
- Proven success in building strong teams and working with internal customers/stakeholders
- Experience with management of high value and environmentally sensitive Electronics components
- Forklift, pallet jack and general material handling experience
- Exposure to Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma
- Collaborative; capable of working across all levels of the organization
- Organized; comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering, or Supply Chain (or 8+ years of professional experience in lieu of a degree).

- To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
