What is the role?

As a Senior Python Developer with a strong background in Python, API integration, and automation solution development, you will join our innovative Mission Automation team. As a key member, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and deploying robust automation solutions that streamline satellite operations, mission planning, and data processing for our clients and our internal space missions. Your work will directly contribute to our vision of achieving a truly autonomous space system.

Some of your daily tasks will include:

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based automation scripts and applications to optimize ground segment operations and spacecraft interactions
• Understand, maintain and contribute to back-end services using Java and Spring
• Write clean, scalable and maintainable code while adhering to best practices and coding standards
• Write unit tests
• Collaborate with stakeholders and participate in system requirement discussions
• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends, actively researching and recommending tools and practices that improve our development processes

What do we look for?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• A minimum of 4 years proven experience as a Python Software Developer
• Familiarity with automation frameworks, scripting, and workflow orchestration
• Experience with Java, AWS and S3 but not mandatory
• Experience with AI tools for code generation
• Knowledge of embedded systems and technologies

How to Stand Out:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and services relevant to data processing or automation
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with message queues or event-driven architectures
• Any experience with embedded systems or hardware-in-the-loop testing
• Be open to knowledge-sharing and contributing to a learning culture
• Understand the critical importance of reliability and robustness in space applications
• Be a quick learner, proactive, and self-starter
• Have excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
