Efficient is seeking an experienced Technical Writer (Contract) who is passionate about drafting and publishing technical content around software, hardware, and chip architecture. Spans everything from creating software tutorials for SDK web documentation, to updating hardware datasheets for our chip
The ideal candidate should have experience in writing, editing, reviewing, organizing the technical content related to Software and Hardware, and excellent communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write, edit, review, and organize technical content for our hardware and software platforms.
- Structure documentation and hierarchically organize content for an enhanced user experience.
Required Qualifications & Experience Requirements
- Over 5 years of experience as a Technical Writer in the semiconductor industry, specializing in the creation of detailed technical documentation, user manuals, and specifications.
- Knowledge of Git and content management solutions.
- Experience using GitHub: you will be working in a github repository for creating content.
- Experience writing documentation for projects based on C, C++, Python and/or machine learning frameworks.
- Experience with text-based markup formats such as Markdown, reStructuredText, LaTeX, etc.
- Experience creating API documentation for a developer audience.
- Ability to quickly learn new and existing technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with the Agile development process.
- Able to provide a portfolio of writing samples for review.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
- Programming experience or exposure to programming languages and the ability to read code such as C/C++.
- Experience with software API documentation using Doxygen.
- Experience with Docusarus.
- Experience with HTML and CSS for web content.
- Familiarity with Doxygen / Sphinx publishing pipelines.
- Experience using software or hardware systems via direct experimentation (e.g., reading and running code)
