EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a SMT Line Manufacturing Supervisor in our Hughes Network Services division. This position will be located at our office in Germantown, MD.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage SMT Process development team including coaching and mentoring, hiring, performance management and development
  • Develop and execute continuous improvement efforts to improve efficiency and utilization of production lines
  • Lead operations interface with design teams to review manufacturability/testability and develop/document a thorough production process plan early in design process
  • Develop and debug the required process and program to be used for production build
  • Responsible for optimizing the production process for maximum throughput with minimum labor cost
  • Provide on-going support for production process enhancements as needed to ensure high quality and the most cost effective and efficient manufacturing thru put.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in manufacturing engineering, related field or combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Previous experience in SMT process development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong engineering skills, with detail understanding of multiple manufacturing lines (Surface Mount Technology)
  • Experience with recruiting, hiring and retaining teams
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience within a lean manufacturing environment with demonstrated results and oriented leadership leading to continuous cost, quality, and productivity improvement.

Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.

Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $64,000.00 - $80,000.00
