EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Entry Level Customer Network Engineer - Enterprise in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position will be located at our headquarters in Germantown, MD.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, troubleshoot and manage routing and switching of Enterprise Customers’ satellite and terrestrial networks.
- Ensure the secure transmission of network traffic through network nodes.
- Enable new features in networking devices and implement network systems improvements to enhance network performance and reliability.
- Configure and support Enterprise Customers' routers and switches with networking protocols to ensure seamless communication among network devices.
- Work on Windows and Linux servers to troubleshoot network issues and to analyze network performance.
- Perform firmware upgrades on networking devices for bug fixes and enhancements.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Telecommunication's, Engineering or related technical field
- 1+ years of relatable experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience or knowledge in an of the following: TCP/IP; LAN/WAN; Switching and Routing Protocols; Linux and Windows; Networking Technologies.
- CCNA
Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
