What is this role:

  • We are hiring a System Administrator for our Arlington, Texas office to support our executive, administrative, finance, and engineering teams.
  • This role offers the opportunity to develop an IT infrastructure strategy from the ground up in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ideal candidate will be hands-on and comfortable working at all levels of IT.

What you will do:

  • Software and Platforms: Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Okta, JIRA, Confluence, Atlassian products, Azure Active Directory, and similar programs with integration experience across multiple platforms. Scripting capability is required.
  • Licensing and Management: Experience with hardware selection, support, and vendor negotiations in mechanical, electrical, and RF engineering software domains.
  • Physical Infrastructure: Setting up and managing physical servers, IT wiring, and deployment, including Linux, ESXi, RDP, containers, and cluster environments. Experience with ordering and managing internet infrastructure in multi-vendor environments.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in Python and database administration for platform integration, SSO, and various IT-related software packages. This includes NAS and backup system automation, LAMP stacks, and other web operations and high-availability clustering systems.
  • LAN Management and Security: Global experience in LAN management and security, including a deep understanding of routing, firewall configuration, VLANs, and supporting complex SDWAN, IPSEC, and similar implementations.

What you will bring:

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a relevant role.
  • Microsoft Certification and experience managing the Microsoft suite of end-user and infrastructure tools.
  • A passion for solving problems for team members both directly and across various offices.
  • Expertise in managing information technology and computer systems across the business.
  • Experience in planning, organizing, controlling, and evaluating IT and electronic data operations.
  • Skills in designing, developing, implementing, and coordinating systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Proven ability to ensure the security of data, network access, and backup systems.
  • Alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy.
  • Experience in auditing systems and assessing their outcomes.

Bonus points:

  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems.
  • Expertise in data management and data governance.
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, VPNs, network administration, and network installation.
  • Proven ability to work with multiple teams and organizations to implement solutions and establish IT best practices.
